Clothes Feelings 7.

I really enjoy outfit posts- I love seeing what people are wearing and learning why. I want to talk about how clothes make me feel. Join me if you’d like!

When Ani and Maya visited in the spring I fell in love with a pair of Ani’s corduroy pants. I’ve always been a wide wale kid and as long as I can remember I’ve had a pair of cords on the go. Since their visit I’ve been keeping a keen eye out at the thrift, looking for the right old man pants to make mine. This pair landed in my hot little hands last week and after they were washed and dried I took them in about 5”, hemmed them up for my short legs and immediately wore them out. The button is from an army jacket I reclaimed and I was sewing it on as Tavi tied her shoes.

Here I’m wearing them with:

My favorite t-shirt, from the vegetarian Indian buffet in my hometown. An anniversary gift from Tavi (and my mom). Whenever I wear it I get Bob Marley stuck in my head. IYKYK.

A Gas Station Beanie knit in red and blue wool, worn cuffed like a cap.

My Babaa-esque sweater knit in reclaimed wool, with wooden buttons. (Every time I share this sweater someone asks if they can buy the pattern- there isn’t one! Sorry!)

Thrifted clogs (splattered in screenprinting ink)

A Pansy bra and ARQ undies. I don’t buy much new clothing, so when I do I try to buy garments that are organic and well made from mostly biodegradable fibers . I’ve found these to be all of those things :)

Worn to a backyard short film screening and to hang with a new friend.
